NEW NUT LOAF CAKE 
Prepare 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan or two 8 inch layer pans (greased and floured).

2 c. sifted flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

1/2 c. soft shortening
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat 2 minutes.

4 egg whites (1/2 c.)

1/2 c. cut up nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake loaf 60 to 65 minutes, layers 30 to 35 minutes. Pour mix into prepared pan. Bake. Cool.
