REFRIGERATOR PAN ROLLS
3/4 c. hot water
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
3 tbsp. shortening
1 egg, well beaten
5 1/4 c. flour
2 pkgs. dry yeast

Mix first 4 ingredients together, cool to lukewarm. Dissolve 2 packages yeast in 1 cup warm water. Mix with other water ingredients. Add the beaten egg and 2 1/2 cups flour. Mix well. Then add approximately 2 3/4 cups more flour to form a stiff dough. Knead well.

Put in greased bowl in warm place and let rise until double. Punch down and make into either loaves or dinner rolls. Bake in approximately 375 degree oven until golden brown. This dough will keep well for 2 or 3 days well covered in the refrigerator.
