PECAN PIE BARS 
2 c. flour
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 c. dark corn syrup
3/4 c. granulated sugar
Dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans
1/2 c. butter
5 eggs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter and butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press crumb mixture into a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. While crust is baking, combine eggs, corn syrup, granulated sugar, salt, and vanilla; blend well. Stir in pecans. Pour filling over hot crust; reduce oven temperature to 275 degrees and bake for 50 minutes or until center is set. Cool pan on a wire rack before cutting into bars.
