PECAN PIE SUPRISE BARS 
1 (18 1/2 oz) pkg. yellow cake mix
1/2 c. melted butter
4 eggs (divided)
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Set aside 2/3 cup cake mix. Combine remaining cake mix, butter and 1 egg in a large mixing bowl. Stir with a fork. Spread in greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Combine reserved mix, 3 eggs, brown sugar, corn syrup and vanilla. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour over crust and sprinkle with pecans. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
