TEXAS SHEET CAKES 
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 c. shortening
1 stick butter
1 c. water
4 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift salt, sugar, and flour together. Mix and bring to boil shortening, butter, water and cocoa. Pour mixture over flour and sugar mixture. Add milk, baking soda, eggs, and vanilla. Mix together and bake in 9 x 13 pan for 20 minutes at 425 degrees.

ICING:

1 stick butter
6 tbsp. milk
4 tbsp. cocoa

Bring to boil. Pour over one box 10x sugar add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat until smooth and ice cake. Add nuts if desired. Put in refrigerator to cool down.
