CRANBERRY APPLESAUCE 
6 apples (Cortland), cored and sliced
1 c. fresh cranberries
1/2 c. water
2/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Combine apples, cranberries and water in saucepan, bring to boil, cover and cook slowly until apples are tender, about 15 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Cook until sugar dissolves. Cool and refrigerate until ready to use.
