This is how I was taught to make Shepherd's Pie. It is so simple and still my favorite to this day! Thanks

Basically same way my mom taught me except she did it, meat on bottom, then corn, then green beans, then a mixture of cream of celery and milk poured over all of that, then a layer of cooked macaroni, slices of velveeta over the pasta, then finally mashed potatoes. Baked for about 30 mins then slices of cheese on top and melted. Best ever!!!

Ann, yours sounds great! I cook the meat with onion and green pepper, then put green beans on top, shredded cheddar on top of that (sorry, Neil!) then undiluted tomato soup, mashed potatoes, then more shredded cheddar. I'll have to try the cooked macaroni and corn. Another recipe also said peas. The more veggies, the better!

I followed this recipe for my last shepherd's pie, it is very basic but easy and tastes great. The only thing I did differently was in addition to the cream corn, I added some more mixed veggies also.

This is the same list of ingredients my mom used ! We put the potatoes on the bottom, ground beef next. I always add two cans of cream style corn on top. Want to make everyone rave ? Add french fried onions on top.Yup it's the best !
