CHEESED MUSHROOMS 
12 lg. fresh mushrooms
6 strips bacon, fried crisp, drained & crumbled
1 onion, finely chopped
1/4 c. mayonnaise
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Wash and drain mushrooms and remove stems. Chop about half of stems finely. Saute onion in 2 tablespoons bacon grease about 3 minutes; drain well. Saute stems about 5 minutes and drain well.

Combine bacon, onion, stems and 1/2 cup of cheese. Mix well and mound in each mushroom cap. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top of each mushroom. Bake at 350 degrees about 25 minutes. Can bake about 10 minutes and freeze them, baking the other 15 minutes when removed from the freezer.
