FRUIT COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. flour (save 1/2 flour for fruit)
2 scant tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 1/2 c. white raisins
2 small eggs
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 lb. each red and green cherries, halved
6 c. chopped pecans
2 tbsp. fruit juice

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Flour fruit. Sift dry ingredients together. Combine all. Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 250°F about 35 minutes. Cool briefly and place on racks to cool.
