3 eggs 1 3/4 c. sugar 1 c. vegetable oil 2 c. flour, not sifted 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 5 apples, peeled and cut into thick slices 3/4 c. pecans or walnuts, not chopped Beat eggs with a fork; blend in sugar and vegetable oil. Mix dry ingredients and add. Add apples and nuts. The dough will be very stiff. Put into greased 13x9-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. The cake may be served plain, with frosting, or whipped cream topping. |
