APPLE DUMPLINGS 
1 c. flour
3 tbsp. ice water
2 tbsp. shortening (rounded)

2 c. water 1 pkg. red hots 1 stick butter

Mix pie crust. Roll out and cut into 3x3 inch squares. Fill each square with apples that have been peeled and sliced. Fold dough around apple slices.

Heat water, sugar, red hots and butter until red hots are melted. Place squares into baking dish with folded side down. Pour on sugar mixture. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
