CHARLOTTE RUSSE (OUR CHRISTMAS
DESSERT FOR OVER 50 YEARS)
 
2 pkgs. Lady fingers (20 to 24)
1 pt. whipping cream
2 env. plain Knox gelatin
Juice of one orange
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla extract

Whip cream until thick. In separate bowl, mix gelatin and orange juice. Slowly add to whipped cream, beating while pouring. Add sugar and vanilla and sit overnight in refrigerator until congealed. Serves 6 to 8 people. Before placing in refrigerator add Lady Fingers around side of bowl.
