CHARLOTTE RUSSE 
1 tbsp. gelatin
1/4 c. cold water
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1 pt. cream
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Lady fingers

Soak gelatin in cold water. Scald 1/2 cup milk, then add sugar, gelatin, and vanilla. Chill until slightly set. Next, whip cream. Dilute with one cup of milk. Fold into gelatin. Next, line a dish with lady fingers and pour in mixture. Decorate with maraschino cherries if desired.
