COCKTAIL SAUCE (SHRIMP, OYSTER, ETC.) | |
This is a thin, extremely piquant cocktail sauce that will forever destroy you for commercial sauces and likely find you disappointed when you order in a restaurant. 2 tsp. prepared horseradish 3 tbsp. tomato ketchup 1 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. white vinegar 4 tbsp. lemon juice (fresh squeezed is best) 1/4 tsp. Tabasco Combine all ingredients and refrigerate. Shot glasses are perfect to use if serving shrimp. This sauce keeps very well in the refrigerator. I usually quadruple the recipe.
