YAKITORI 
8 oz. chicken meat
8 oz. chicken livers
8 sm. mushrooms
2 med. bell peppers
2 green onions
20 bamboo skewers

B-B-Q SAUCE:

1 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. mirin
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. sake

Mix all sauce ingredients in a saucepan; heat until boiling. Reduce heat to low and simmer 10 to 15 minutes. Use for dip and baste.

Cut chicken meat and livers into bite size, set aside. Cut bell pepper and green onions into bite size, set aside.

Stick chicken meat, bell pepper, liver, mushrooms and green onion into each skewers. Dip skewers into sauce and place on rack in broiler pan. Broil on medium heat for 1 minute, baste with sauce, turn over and broil other side for 30 seconds or until chicken and livers are cooked. Serve hot.
