1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together. Cut in shortening until mixture is like cornmeal. Blend in well-beaten egg mixed with milk. Add vanilla. Pour batter into well-greased 6 x 10-inch pan. Sprinkle with streusel mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes.

STREUSEL MIXTURE:

2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. nuts
2 tbsp. butter, softened

Mix ingredients together.
