TOLL HOUSE COOKIES 
1 c. pkg. brown sugar
1 stick butter
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 pkg. 12 oz. chocolate bits
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar and butter add vanilla and beat in eggs. Sift flour, baking soda and salt together. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Add chocolate bits. Refrigerate for a couple of hours. Roll into small balls and drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
