KOSHER STYLE DILL PICKLES 
Cucumbers
Pickling salt
White vinegar
Mixed pickling spices
Several bunches fresh dill
Garlic cloves, whole
Hot peppers, whole

Soak cucumbers, cut into spears for 24 hours in a brine made of 1 cup pickling salt to 8 cups water. Remove from brine and dry.

Make a vinegar solution of 2 cups white vinegar to 3 cups water. Add 2 tablespoons pickling spices and several bunches of dill. Let come to a boil. Add cucumbers and take from heat.

Into each jar (quart), place 2 cloves garlic and 2 hot peppers (small or one large). Pack cucumbers in jars. Heat liquid and pour over pickles. Seal. Water bath for 20 minutes after water has returned to a boil.
