VIENNESE CRESCENTS 
1/2 lb. butter
1/4 c. granulated sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. ground nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Confectioners' sugar

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cream the butter, then add the granulated sugar, flour, nuts and vanilla, and mix well. Shape with your fingers into delicate crescents, about 2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide and thick. Roll in confectioners' sugar and bake on ungreased cookie sheet for about 30 minutes until just a little browned. Cool, then roll in more confectioners' sugar before serving. Makes about 50 small cookies.
