VIENNESE CRESCENTS 
1/2 lb. butter
1/4 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. ground pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
Confectioners' sugar

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cream the butter, then add the sugar, flour, nuts and vanilla and mix thoroughly. Shape with your fingers into delicate crescents, about 2" long and 1/2" wide and thick. Roll in confectioners' sugar and bake on ungreased cookie sheets for about 30 minutes until faintly browned. Cool, then roll in more confectioners' sugar before serving. Makes 50 small cookies.
