VIENNESE FRESH FRUIT CAKE | |
1/2 lb. butter 1 c. sugar 2 c. flour 4 eggs 2 tsp. baking powder 1 grated lemon rind Fresh peaches or plums, washed (Well drained canned peaches can be used) Cream together everything but fruit for 5 minutes. Put dough into a well-greased pan. Cut fruit in half. Skins should be dry before putting fruit on dough. Put fruit on dough skin side down. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. |
