WELSH SHORTBREAD | |
1 c. corn oil butter 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar 1/2 c. cornstarch 2 tsp. vanilla or 1 tsp. each almond & coconut flavoring 1 1/2 c. unsifted flour Combine ingredients. Turn into round Pyrex 9" pie plate. Score with a fork into 8 pieces; then score around the edge with the fork making a design like "M" and "W" as you turn the fork; then make pricks in each piece to make bite size servings. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Re-score. Leave on the Pyrex to serve and persons help themselves with a fork. May bake in 9"x9" square pan. |
