NO CRUST APPLE PIE 
6 med. tart apples, peeled & chopped or sliced
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. water
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix apple slices with sugar, cinnamon and water. Cook about 10 minutes or until apples are partially cooked. Put in 9 inch pie pan. Cream butter and add brown sugar, sifted flour, baking powder and salt. Mix thoroughly. Sprinkle mixture over apples. Bake at 350 degrees until apples are tender and top is nicely browned, about 45 minutes. Serve with milk or whipped cream.
