PECAN PIE BARS 
3 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt

Grease bottom and sides of 15 x 10 x 2 inch baking pan. Prepare crust in large bowl with mixer until resembles coarse crumbs; press firmly and evenly into pan. Bake at 350 degrees 20 minutes. While crust is baking, prepare filling.

FILLING:

4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/2 c. light or brown syrup
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. butter, melted
1 1/2 tbsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. chopped pecans

In large bowl mix all ingredients; stir in pecans. Spread evenly over hot crust. Bake in oven 25 minutes or until set. Cool on wire rack. Makes 48 squares.
