SAND TARTS 
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. flour
6 heaping tbsp. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. water
1 tsp. almond or vanilla extract
1 c. almonds (pecans)

Cream together butter, sugar and flour. Add water and extract, then nuts. Cream well. Chill. Roll into small balls. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes on ungreased sheets; then roll in powdered sugar. Makes 50 (1 inch tarts).
