1 lb. ground beef 1 lb. mild sausage 1/2 tsp. garlic salt 1/2 tsp. oregano 1 lb. Velveeta cheese, cut up 1 long loaf of Vienna bread or French bread Brown meats, drain well. Leave on stove until cheese melts, stir well. It will be thick. Spread on bread, open faced. Cut the bread into slices about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Put on a cookie sheet and freeze. When frozen, put back in bread wrapper or wrap separately. Return to freezer. Use as needed. Makes 15 to 18 open faced slices. To cook: Turn oven to broil and place bread on cookie sheets. Broil until hot and bubbly, about 3 minutes. You now have a snack and boy, are they good! |
