BANANA NUT LOAF 
1 1/2 cups shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts
3 ripe bananas

Put all of the above ingredients in a bowl and mix.

Bake at 325°F for 1 hour or until cake tests done.

Bake in a well-greased bread pan, well-greased and floured.

This recipe is not for new cooks, no instructions on how to mix shortening, sugar and eggs and other ingredients. Do not use a regular loaf pan, it will be too small, cook in a larger pan.

This is a quick bread, not a cake! By preparing it as though it were a cake you are increasing the volume thereby requiring additional pans.
