KANSAS DIRT CAKE 
1 (16 oz.) pkg. Oreo cookies, crushed
1 stick butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. powdered sugar
1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip
2 (3 1/2 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. milk

Spread half of the crushed cookies in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Whip together butter and cream cheese. Add sugar and Cool Whip; fold together and set aside. Prepare pudding using vanilla and milk. Add pudding mixture to cream cheese mixture and mix thoroughly. Pour over cookie crumbs. Sprinkle top with remaining crumbs. Chill 1 to 2 hours or overnight before serving.

Makes 12 to 15 servings.
