STUFFED PASTA SHELLS 
1 pkg. (12 oz.) jumbo pasta shells
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
1/4 c. seasoned bread crumbs
1 tbsp. chopped parsley
1 clove garlic, minced
Salt & pepper to taste
1 recipe tomato sauce (recipe follows)

1. Cook pasta shells until just soft.

2. Brown ground beef, drain excess fat.

3. Mix beef with next 6 ingredients.

4. Pour half the tomato sauce in a large baking dish.

5. Stuff shells with filling, arrange in dish and top with remaining sauce.

6. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.

TOMATO SAUCE:

1 lg. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 c. olive oil
1 can (35 oz.) plum tomatoes, chopped
1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
2 tsp. leaf basil, crumbled
1 tsp. salt
Sugar to taste
1 c. water

1. Saute onion and garlic in oil until soft in a large saucepan.

2. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, salt, sugar to taste and water.

3. Heat to bubbling; lower heat to simmer for 45 minutes, stirring frequently.
