SAUSAGE CASSEROLE 
2 lbs. pan sausage
2 celery stalks, chopped
1 onion, large, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
4 1/2 c. water
1 pkg. chicken noodle soup mix (use both envelopes)
1/2 c. rice
1/2 c. slivered almonds
1 can water chestnuts, chopped

Brown and drain 2 lbs. pan sausage. Saute vegetables and set aside. Boil 4 1/2 cups water and stir in chicken noodle soup mix packages and 1/2 cup rice. Boil 7 minutes. Add sausage and vegetable mixture. Add almonds and water chestnuts.

Bake covered 30 minutes and then uncovered for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
