EASY CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. water
1/2 c. salad oil
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. Double Acting Baking Powder
1/3 c. cocoa
2 tsp. confectioners sugar (optional)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 8 x 8 inch cake pan; dust with cocoa. Into large bowl measure all ingredients except confectioners sugar. With fork or wire whisk, beat ingredients until just blended. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake about 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Cool cake in pan on wire rack 10 minutes; remove cake from pan. If you like, sprinkle cake with confectioners sugar.
