CHOCOLATE CHIP STREUSEL COFFEE
CAKE
 
STREUSEL:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. walnuts, chopped
1 c. chocolate chips

CAKE:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter
3 eggs
3/4 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk

For streusel, combine brown sugar and flour. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in walnuts and chocolate chips. Set aside. Grease and flour a 9 x 13 inch pan. For cake, combine cream cheese, sugar and butter and mix at medium speed until well blended. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add combined dry ingredients alternately with milk, mixing well after each addition. Spoon batter into prepared pan and sprinkle with streusel mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
