PORK PIE (FRENCH CANADIAN) 
1 lg. onion, peeled and chopped
1 lb. ground pork
1 lb. ground beef (lean)
1 lg. stalk celery, chopped
1 very big potato, diced
Pinch cinnamon
Pinch of clove
Pinch of savory
1/4 tsp. Bells Seasoning
1 tbsp. salad oil
1 tbsp. butter

In large skillet place oil and butter. Saute onion and celery. Combine meats and add to skillet. Add water to barely cover. Then add potato. Bring to boil. Reduce heat.

Cook down until meat fries. Add herbs and spices. Salt and pepper to taste. Place filling in unbaked 10 inch crust. Cover with top crust. Bake at 425 to 450 degree oven for 10 minutes, then at 350 degrees for 45 minutes more.
