CHICKEN ROSE | |
3 chicken breasts, split 2 tbsp. water 1 clove garlic, sliced 1 tbsp. brown sugar 1 tsp. ginger 1/4 c. rose wine 1/4 c. soy sauce 1/4 c. salad oil or olive oil 1/4 tsp. oregano Combine wine, soy sauce, oil, water, garlic, ginger, oregano, and brown sugar; arrange chicken breasts in baking dish; pour wine mixture over top; cover and bake at 375 degrees for about 1 1/2 hours or until chicken is tender. Serves 2-3. NOTE: Excellent served over wild rice. If I am going to serve it with rice, I usually double the wine-mixture recipe; then bake as above. I cook the wild rice separately. After baking the chicken, I then mix some of the wine sauce thoroughly into the cooked rice before serving. |
