2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 unbeaten egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate bits
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. chopped maraschino cherries

Sift together flour, soda and salt. Cream butter and both sugars. Blend in egg and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in bits, nuts and cherries. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
