BREAD AND BUTTER PICKLES | |
1 gal. sm. size cucumbers, sliced thin 4 lg. onions, sliced thin Salt down well. Place in refrigerator, covered, 3 to 4 hours. Add Syrup: 5 c. vinegar 1 1/2 tsp. turmeric 1 tsp. mustard seed 1 tsp. celery seed 1/2 tsp. ground cloves Heat to boiling. Place well rinsed cucumbers and onions in syrup. Store in refrigerator. After 2 to 3 days can be used. Keep stored in refrigerator. |
