Rub salt in the cavity of the fowl. Put one cored and quartered apple and one peeled and quartered orange in the cavity Put breast side down on aluminum foil inside roaster. Pour in 2 cups water. Put on lid and steam in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Put strip of bacon on back of goose and reseal. Cook at 275 degrees for about 3 hours after adding 3 more cups of water. |
