CHICKEN ADOBO (Filipino Dish) 
1 reg. sized chicken, cut into pieces
1 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. peppercorns, crushed
1 bay leaf
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/4 c. oil

Clean chicken and cut into pieces. Season with salt and pepper. Place in a saucepan and add the bay leaf, garlic and vinegar; let simmer until tender. If more water is needed, add 1/2 cup of hot water at a time. When the meat is tender, add the oil and saute until brown. Serve hot.
