HARDEES BISCUITS 
4 c. VA best self-rising flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
3/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1 1/2-2 c. buttermilk

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cut in shortening, beat egg and add 1/2 of the egg to the flour mixture, with the buttermilk. Mix, roll out, cut. Brush tops with the other 1/2 egg. Bake at 450 degrees until brown.
