MOTHER'S BREAD PUDDING 
6 slices bread
1 tbsp. cornmeal
3 tbsp. butter
1 c. boiling water
Pinch of salt
2 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, slightly beaten

Pour boiling water over bread, meal and butter. Mix well and add milk, sugar, vanilla and eggs. Bake in two quart dish at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done (when inserted knife blade comes out clean).
