SEVEN LAYER CASSEROLE | |
1 c. cooked rice 1 c. canned kernel corn drained salt & pepper 2 cans Hunts tomato sauce 3/4 can water 1/2 c. finely chopped onions 1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper 3/4 lb. uncooked ground beef 4 strips of bacon cut in halves Heat oven to 350°F. Place the ingredients in layers in a 2 quart baking dish with a tight fitting lid. First the rice followed by the corn. Salt & pepper and then pour over 1 can tomato sauce and 1/2 can water. The next is the onion and green pepper. Put the ground beef on next. Sprinkle with salt & pepper and then add other can of tomato sauce and 1/4 can of water. Cover the meat with the bacon. Cover and cook for 1 hour at 350°F. Uncover and bake for 30 minutes longer. |
