MARINATED ASPARAGUS 
1 lb. asparagus
1/4 c. seasoned rice vinegar mixed with 2 tsp. sugar & salt to taste
1 tbsp. each of sesame oil & toasted sesame seeds

Cut off tough ends of asparagus. Bring about 1 inch of water to boil in a wide frying pan over high heat. Add asparagus, cover and cook for 3 to 5 minutes. Drain and put in ice water, cool, then drain again. Place asparagus in shallow bowl, add dressing and refrigerate, stirring occasionally for about 30 minutes. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on before serving.
