MRS. STEPHENS PASTA SALAD | |
2 bags Rotini (tri-colored) pasta 1 1/2 lb pre-cooked* salad shrimp 1 1/2 lb (imitation) crab flake meat 1 (15 oz.) can black (olives sliced) 1 (16 oz.) bottle Wish Bone house Italian dressing 1 (16 oz.) bottle Wish Bone zesty Italian dressing 1 fresh lemon seasoning salt (optional) pepper (optional) Note: Ingredients may be increased/decreased based on family size. If preparing salad with uncooked shrimp, after cleaning shrimp sauté them in fresh garlic and butter. Prepare water for pasta (salt in water optional). Rinse / strain meat and olives. Combine shrimp, crab meat, olives and salad dressings in a serving container to marinade. Add pasta to boiling water. Pasta should be in hot water no longer than 8 minutes to avoid gumminess. Rinse pasta (again optional) and toss into other ingredients and seasonings. Cut and squeeze (the juice of) the fresh lemon over salad according to taste. Best when served chilled, as an appetizer with some townhouse style crackers, or as part of a main dish. Submitted by: L. Stephens |
