EGG DUMPLINGS 
1 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. cooking oil
1 egg
1/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. milk

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in remaining ingredients until thoroughly blended. Drop by spoonfuls into chicken or beef stew. Cook 10 minutes with kettle uncovered and 10 minutes tightly covered. I usually double the recipe for a large kettle.
