DISAPPEARING MARSHMALLOW BROWNIES | |
1/2 c. butterscotch pieces 1/4 c. butter 3/4 c. flour 1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 egg Melt butterscotch pieces and butter in 3 quart heavy saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove and cool. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup, level off. Add dry ingredients to butterscotch mixture in saucepan; mix well. 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces 1/4 c. chopped nuts Fold into butterscotch batter just until combined, about 5 strokes. Spread into pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, do not overbake. Center will be jiggly but becomes set upon cooling. Bake in a greased 9" square pan. |
