BATTER: 2 tbsp. butter 1/3 c. brown sugar 1 c. flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. milk 1 c. raisins SYRUP: 1 c. brown sugar 2 c. boiling water 1 tbsp. flour 1 tbsp. butter 1 tbsp. vanilla Cream butter and sugar together. Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and mix with milk. Dust raisins with flour and mix with above mixture. Put mixture in 8 inch greased pan. Cover with syrup: Combine flour and sugar, add boiling water and stir until smooth. Cook until thickened (slightly). Add butter and vanilla. Pour over batter and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. |
