ITALIAN SAUCE 
1 lb. hot Italian sausage
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 green bell peppers, chopped
2 c. sliced mushrooms
2 (28 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 (16 oz.) cans Italian stewed tomatoes
1 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
5 cloves garlic, chopped
5 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. thyme
1 tbsp. oregano, black pepper
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp. (or to taste) Tabasco
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. olive oil

Pierce and brown sausage in microwave for approximately 5 minutes. Saute onions, bell peppers and garlic in olive oil. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 3-4 hours.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
