BREAD PUDDING 
2 1/4 c. milk
2 slightly beaten eggs
2 c. stale bread crumbs
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt
1/2 c. raisins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place all ingredients in baking dish. Combine milk, eggs and bread crumbs. Stir in remaining ingredients. Put baking dish in pan with hot water around it 1 inch deep. Bake about 45 minutes or until knife inserted halfway in center comes out clean.

SAUCE:

1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 block butter
Vanilla
Whiskey

Melt butter, add powdered sugar slowly, stirring continuously. Add vanilla. If too thick, water may be added slowly. Take off fire and add whiskey or rum. Serve over warm bread pudding.
