BREAD PUDDING 
3 c. stale bread pieces (end and crust are fine)
2 c. milk
1 egg
1 (heaping) tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. raisins
7 tbsp. butter, melted
1 tbsp. vanilla

Combine bread and milk well. Add egg, baking powder, sugar, raisins, melted butter and vanilla. Mix and spoon into 9-inch square baking pan.

Bake at 400 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.

Best if served warm, but good any way.
