BANANA SPLIT DESSERT 
1/2 c. butter, melted
2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1 lb. box confectioners sugar
1 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
5 bananas, sliced
1 (12 oz.) container Cool Whip
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, drained

Mix butter and cracker crumbs together and pat into bottom of 9 x 13 pan. Mix butter with eggs and sugar; beat 15 minutes with electric mixer. THIS IS IMPORTANT. Pour over crumb crust. Layer sliced bananas over filling. Spread well drained pineapple over bananas. Spread Cool Whip over pineapple layer and top with cherries and nuts. Chill at least 12 hours before serving.
